About a typical Local Auction Generally at a local auction, the auctioneer is a representative of YOU the Seller. The absence of a Federal Firearms license makes YOU the Seller, responsible for the sale of firearms by the Auctioneer. The Auction is held at your property or at a facility rented by YOU. The Auction is advertised locally and your merchandise is sold to people within your community. About Our National Public Auction We maintain a Federal Firearms License at our Retail Facilities as well as our Auction Center. This allows us to accept firearms from Sellers anywhere in the United States By shipping the Firearms to another FFL in the Buyers area, this allows us to sell firearms to Buyers anywhere in the United States. This provides YOU, the seller, piece of mind. Knowing that the Buyers of your firearms are legally allowed to possess them and that all State and Federal Laws have been complied with. Our Auctions are conducted by Whipple Auctions, an established Auction Company with over 30 years in the business, at the Lakeshore Auction Center located in Canton, Ohio at historic Meyers Lake. Your merchandise is inventoried, tagged and professionally Photographed. We take a minimum of 2 photos for each item. We prepare a paper catalog for On-Site bidders and place the entire catalog as well as the photos on our Web Site for the World to view. Our Auction Catalog is placed on our Website at least two weeks prior to the Auction. An auction averages over 15000 people viewing the online catalog. We also advertise the Auction Locally and Nationally by using: Local Newspapers National Publications Regional Publications Internet Advertising Email Notification USPS Mailings Using State of the Art Technology, we can broadcast Video and Audio of the Auction in Real Time. What this means to you, is that, ANYONE ANYWHERE in the world that has an internet connection can watch, hear, and BID on your items as if they were actually in the Auction facility. A typical National Firearms Auction has: 300-500 registered bidders On-Site 300-500 registered bidders On the Internet 50-100 absentee/phone bidders And 25% of the Auction items will sell to bidders over the internet The Internet bidders will be the runner up on an additional 25% of the Auction items This means increased sales and increased competitive bidding for your merchandise. Which equals more MONEY for you the SELLER. Our staff has over 25 years experience in the Firearms Industry. We know what your merchandise IS, and what its Value is. This is what we DO and ALL we DO.
